Oil lamp in bronze originating in India and dating from the XIXth century. Representation of the goddess Lakshmi, named Gaja Lakshmi when she is watered by elephants. Goddess of fortune, prosperity, wealth and abundance, Lakshmi is the wife of Vishnu.
